The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
